Tuesday October 12th saw the first of our revamped detimetabled sessions to further deliver our ‘Learning for Life‘ curriculum. There will be two detimetabled lessons every half term to ensure that students’ experience of this vital area is accelerated after the interruptions of the pandemic.
This half term, the sixth form had sessions on safe driving and personal finance (pictured). Key stage 4 students participated superbly in sessions exploring relationships and consent, and for key stage 3 students it was growing up and puberty that was the focus.
These half-termly sessions tie in with our assembly and learning for life programmes in tutor time, and we think they are of vital importance.
