Our Year 9s get dramatic

Year 9 GCSE Drama class are participating in the National Theatre Connections Festival this year, and last night put on a work-in-progress performance to an invited audience. This was an opportunity to gain valuable feedback from their support director, Jemma, who travelled down from London to see their hard work. They are working towards a performance at Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells on 13th April.

Each year the National Theatre commissions ten new plays for young people to perform, bringing together some of the UK’s most exciting writers with the theatre-makers of tomorrow. With over 300 youth theatre companies and over 6,000 young people from every corner of the UK take part, we are very excited to be participating! Watch this space for more info and to purchase tickets!

Here they are in a post-show discussion with their teacher and director Mrs Hodgkiss, and their support Director, Jemma Gross:
