Last week, students took part in a range of a activities for Reading Week. Year 7 all had a creative writing workshop on creating cartoon strips from a children’s author and illustrator, the top achievers for reading progress in years 8 and 9 enjoyed a Sherlock Holmes based Murder Mystery, the whole school had some peace and quiet with 15 minutes of Drop Everything and Read each day and various competitions, quizzes and reading based lessons took place across the school over the course of the week. Students were also read stories during assembly.
