During the 2020/21 academic year, the school received an additional £150 per student without GCSE grade 4 in English and/or maths.
We used this funding to create an additional GCSE maths and English class in year 12, so there are now three classes. This ensure that students are all able to attend a class without clashes.
In addition, we have offered small group catch-up sessions after school, with the GCSE teachers.
During the spring term closure of 2021, we have ensured that our GCSE maths and English students were able to request access to IT equipment to support their studies, and have lent several Chromebooks from our existing stock.
In 2021/22 there was a further allocation of about £100 per students with a grade 4 in English and/or maths. Using this we continued the programme we started in 2020/21, with an additional maths retake class and small group after school catch-up sessions.
