Our year 11s break Sackville exam records!

Sackville is celebrating a truly outstanding set of GCSE results today, which have surpassed even our high expectations. Our students rose magnificently to the challenge the new more demanding 9-1 graded exam. With more than 70 grades awarded the new very-top grade 9 (the top 2% of results) we can confidently say that at Sackville ‘Together we Achieve’.
It was not just our own expectations that were exceeded however: nearly one grade in two achieved was above government benchmarks. Hard-working students of all abilities continue to make great strides at Sackville.
Headteacher Julian Grant said “We could tell from the way these students approached their exams in the summer that we were in for some strong results, but I am delighted that what they have achieved is beyond our wildest dreams! I would like to congratulate the students once again for the tremendous work they put in over the whole of last year.”
