Sackville students win Rotary prizes

We were delighted to welcome Mr Chris Smith of Rotary International on Friday 26 April.
Mr Smith was in school to present two of our students with awards for their perfromances in Rotary sponsored competitions.
Readers of Sackville News and indeed of this website will be aware of year 10 student Bella Collins‘ culinary exploits. Mr Smith awarded her with a prize and a certificate for her achievements in the Rotary Young Chef Competition. Bella (left) won two heats, and was only narrowly pipped in the regional final.
Meanwhile Rosie Baird in year 12 achieved third place in the senior section of the Rotary Young Photographer Competition. Rosie’s pieces will soon be on display at our annual exhibition of students’ work, where you will be able to see the high standards achieved not just by Rosie but by all of our other art and photography students.
