We held our first sixth form information evening tonight for families and students in year 12. This was an opportunity for parents and carers to meet their child’s tutor, and find out what students in year 12 are learning. We had some input from students regarding subject content this week and families also learned how the SMSC programme sits as part of the curriculum and the importance of attendance and how it is monitored.
Mr Batsford, one of our sixth form tutors, explained about our super-curricular LIFE programme and the benefits of participation, and Mr Coomber (sixth form tutor) gave families a taster of an SMSC session about the health concerns around vaping. We hope families found the evening useful and informative.
