Year 12 Futures Morning

Year 12 Futures Morning

Year 12 had a futures morning to start making plans for next year. Students thinking about the university route had talks from Southampton University on choosing the right course for you, what to look for in a university and how to make that final decision on where you are going to study and were assisted in starting their UCAS applications. Thank you to Paul Drinkwater for delivering this workshop.

Those students opting for the apprenticeship route were lucky to get two workshops delivered by James Brooklyn for ASK. He gave the students tips on finding apprenticeships, how to research the awarding bodies, and making themselves stand out from the crowd. Thank you to James for the invaluable information.

We also had three members of staff from Queen Victoria Hospital. Students found out about routes into different positions within the NHS and an in depth presentation of the roles for operating department practitioners. Thank you to Paul Andrews.

All students also had a financial and budgeting workshop delivered by the mayor of East Grinstead, Steve Ody.

An information heavy morning that students can now digest at their own pace!

Thank you to all those who gave up their time.
