Students best the teachers in record breaking charity quiz

On Tuesday November 13th, our 2018 sixth form charity quiz broke records for the number of participants, the money raised, and the amount of fish and chips consumed. Something else was unprecedented too: a student team won. Many congratulations to Nick Barham, Elliott Young, Tristan Boland, Thomas Longley, Sam Bourdessoule, Cameron Rex and Jamie Baker, our first ever winning student team.

This is the 12th year we have run the quiz; most are won by the maths department. There were many dark looks in M block on Wednesday, especially since several of the winning team had maths lessons that day …
Thank-you to the head team for organising the event, and to Mrs Rooke and Mrs Plumb for their tireless efforts and peerless organisation skills. An update on the amount raised will follow.
