A brilliant start to this year’s curriculum enhancement week during the scorching sun, where students have displayed great teamwork, dedication and creativity in all activities.
Year 7 launched into action on their STEM day, carefully constructing and launching their own personalised rockets high into the sky – very impressive!
Year 8 made a splashing start to the week with a STEM natural disaster day, in which they constructed (mostly!) waterproof shelters that were put to the test. No doubt that those who were drenched enjoyed some cooling down in the heat! There was a brilliant effort from all students, with one student, Daisy, commenting on the activity saying ‘it was really fun because we had to work as a team’.
Some amazing sport was also played by the year 9 students throughout the day, and year 10 enjoyed a successful and inspirational ‘meet the professionals’ afternoon, allowing students to speak with and ask questions to gain insight into a range of different professions represented.
