Sackville and Imberhorne share memorial trophies

Sackville and Imberhorne share memorial trophies

Honours were even between Sackville and Imberhorne as the annual memorial Barry Newman and Chris Cooney cups were fought over at the town rugby club on Thursday 7 October.

The U14 Chris Cooney cup was won by Imberhorne, with Sackville returning with the U16 Barry Newman silverware.

Both matches were played in an impeccable spirit, which would have please Chris Cooney, a tremendously keen player who sadly passed away in year 13.

It’s great to have been able to play after a year’s enforced absence; well done to all competitors.
