World Book Day 2019

Sackville English staff celebrate World Book Day in style

Getting our students reading is always one of our key aims – which is why crazy things happen on World Book Day. This year our English teachers once again dressed up as characters from literature. How many can you spot in this photo?
Meanwhile, in the LRC Mrs Rose offered students a ‘blind date with a book‘ on a first come, first served basis. Students chose a book wrapped up to disguise its identity, and will be entered into a prize draw once they answer a few questions on it. Mrs Rose was cleared out of books by the end of registration!
Thank you to Mrs Rose and our English staff for making sure books and reading stay front and centre of our minds. Reading is not just a key foundation of academic success, but also the secret to a lifetime of happiness.
