Year 9 entrepreneurs take a class in Zoo management

On Friday fifty Year 9 Business & Enterprise students had the opportunity to visit Drusillas Park and Zoo.

Students watched a presentation by the owner of Drusillas alongside the education team who spoke about the business, how they make a profit and the impact of Covid-19.

It was useful for students to hear how the business operates in the ‘competitive environment’ which directly links to their last topic in the GCSE Business curriculum. Students were then able to enjoy a tour of the park where they got to take a look at all of the animals.

‘It was a great day and a pleasure to take some of the Year 9’s on their first trip at Sackville!’  – Mr Belcher, teacher of Business
Thank to all the staff who accompanied; it looks like you all had a whale of a time!
