Year 8 students visit the World War One battlefields

[slideshow_deploy id=’34176′]

For our year 8 historians, Thursday 27 June will stay long in the memory. An early start and a long day is a very small price to pay in order to be able to visit the battlefields and cemeteries of World War One.

Students were suitably moved as a wreath was laid on behalf of Sackville at Tyne Cot. Other sites visited included Langemark, Hill 62 and Ypres.

Sackville students agree that this is a trip from which every school student benefits.

Thank-you to Ms McLeod for organising the day.
