James Lea Memorial Fundraiser

James Lea Memorial Fundraiser

Over the weekend of 27/28 April a number of Sackville staff past and present will be taking part in a ‘virtual relay’ to commemorate our late colleague James Lea. Participants will undertake an hour’s walk, run or cycle before passing the baton on via WhatsApp.

James was a teacher of computer science and business studies for over ten years at Sackville, leaving in 2018.

Students who have older siblings may have heard of his humour-packed lessons. James was a one-off, inspiring love and respect in his students and colleagues alike.

Throughout his long illness he never lost his positive take on life, playing practical jokes which became the talk of St Peter & St James Hospice, where he spent his last months.

Our virtual relay will raise money for the hospice, and any donations will be gratefully received. Our fundraising page is here.

With best wishes.
