Potential STEM undergraduates enjoy the university experience at Sussex
A group of year 10 students visited the University of Sussex on a Physics and Maths trip on Thursday May 2nd. The aim of the day was for the university to inspire them to think about taking STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) subjects at A level and beyond.
The engaging pilot course on probability and statistics involved hands-on problems that got them all thinking hard and working together. The students were given plenty of stretch and challenge in the work and rose to the occasion. Pictured here you can see them experimenting with the ‘Monty Hall Paradox‘.
The students were great ambassadors for the school. Thanks to Mrs Medhurst and Mrs Jeffcoat for accompanying and supporting the group.
