Chloe’s putting in the hard yards for a charity close to her family’s heart …

Year 13 student Annie Raymond has this message for anyone reading Sackville posts.

My oldest sister Chloe Raymond is running the Brighton Marathon for the “GO girls” gynaecological cancer charity. In January, my sister Lia Raymond was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and had a tumour in each ovary. She has since had both tumours and an ovary removed and fortunately been given the all clear.

As a family we were extremely happy with our experience, as my sister received her treatment within a month of  her diagnosis. We recognise this isn’t always the case, which is why charities like GO girls are so important. GO girls is the only UK charity that supports women going through their diagnosis/treatments. They also help raise awareness for symptoms of all gynaecological cancers as well as campaigning for earlier diagnoses and improved treatments.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and any donations would be greatly appreciated.
