Sackville ends term in style!
The last day of Christmas term is always a special one. The long tradition of seasonal assemblies continued this year, with Mr Keeble as usual acting as compere.
Mr Roberts read his seasonal message, which you can see here, and which was accompanied this year by photos of his newly arrived grandson. The real highlight was the sixth form band singing a reprise from the Carol Service the night before.
The lowlight of course was the staff dance, which (with a few notable exceptions) plumbed its usual depths, despite the best efforts and endless patience of Melissa Turner, Eliza Roser and Juno Phitidis. Maybe next year it will be better. Thanks to Jamie Davis for the photos of the dance!
Finally in the evening some of our sixth formers joined the annual Rotary charity collection as Santa travels through the town on his sleigh. Money raised goes to local community projects and about four hundred presents are also delivered to elderly people living alone in the area. Well done to Charlie Main, Jordi Crowther, Oli Blackman, Alex Mustard, Adam Stevens and Tom Taylor for helping out.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all – we’ll be back on January 4th.
